East Region Junior/ Senior Success for Dacorum Diving Club

The new diving complex at Inspire Luton Sports Village was the venue for the second leg of the East Region ASA Junior/ Senior Championships.
This facility includes a new 10m and 7.5m platform, allowing the platform divers the opportunity to train and compete dives from the higher platforms without having to travel further afield.
This competition was for the 3m, 5m and 5m synchro competitions; the first leg in Southend, being for the 1m and 1m synchro competitions.Both competition legs were for Level 3 (Age Group) divers and above, and allowed divers with a broad range of ability to compete together. Guest divers from outside the East Region were also allowed to compete, but weren't eligible for the East Region medal honours.
The number of dives needed for each competition was different according to which competition the diver was competing in.
The Junior competitions were open to divers from 10-15 years old, and the Senior competition was open to divers of 16+ age.
The East Region ASA encompasses the counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
Dacorum divers came away with well a deserved one Gold medal and three Bronze Medals.
